In the past few years, the handmade movement has been garnering more attention in Manila. Hey Kessy and I Try DIY has been on the forefront of this. One of their advocacies is spreading the beauty of anything handmade and how easy it is to be crafty. Every so often they organize crafternoons, where crafters of all ages meet and do beautiful art projects together.
Meghan has participated in these workshops and has been an avid crafter ever since. She wanted to share her love for the crafts with her friends in a small and intimate setting by turning her sweet sixteenth into her very own crafternoon! Although in the beginning, some of her friends were hesitant to give it a try but when it was time to leave, most of them didn’t want to get out of their seats. The guests even got to bring home their craft kits so they can continue crafting in the comforts of their own homes.
